Marriage in Spain is subject to the following provisions of the Civil Code:

Art. 66: El marido y la mujer son iguales en derechos y deberes.

The husband and wife are equal in rights and obligations.

Art 67:  El marido y la mujer deben respatarse y ayudarse mutualmente y actuar en interés de la familia.

The husband and wife must respect and assist one another and act in the interests of the family.

Art. 68:  Los cónyuges están obligados a vivir juntos, guardarse fidelidad y socorrerse mutualmente.

The husband and wife have the obligation to live together, remain faithful to one another and to provide each other with mutual assistance.
